The Thulhagiri Island Resort is a small resort very close to the capital of the Maldives, Male. After following a small sand path from the jetty, the guests are free to roam the island and explore everything it has to offer. The island is covered with towering coconut palm trees that shade the interior of the island giving it a look a feel of a very small tropical island village.
The entire island is very appealing to the eye, the environment is relaxed and the staff are known to be very friendly and very accommodating. The beaches at Thulhagiri are wide with powder soft white sand. There is not much shade on the beaches, which makes them a sun tanner's and sun bather's paradise. The snorkelling around Thulhagiri is ideal for beginners as the water is calm and there is much to see in certain areas. As previously mentioned, sun bathing and sun tanning seem to be a favorite activity of guests at this resort as the soft, white sandy beaches with little cover offer perfect opportunities to indulge in the sun.

Attached to the restaurant is the heart of the resort: the bar and lounge. Here many people enjoy the beautiful decorations along with the relaxed atmosphere. It is a perfect area to relax with a drink after dinner or to meet other guests.

Almost all of the rooms, which are bungalows, have beach front. However, four do not so check before you book. Thulhagiri also offers seventeen water bungalows beautifully situated above the water. The rooms themselves are beautiful and modern with all the amenities that anyone would need, including, of course, a mini bar.
